The 2022 Kevin Carter Waiting For Wishes Celebrity Waiters Dinner, co- hosted by Jay DeMarcus, in Nashville is a wrap!
It was the 20th year of this event raising over $2.5 million for charity.
Once again, new relationships were discovered and lots of great memories were had.
From business to entertainment, this charity event always seemed to bring out the best in everyone reaching so many families with children in need.
I had the privilege of meeting Kevin Carter former NFL Super Bowl Champion for the St. Louis Rams, the greatest show on turf over 20 years ago. After a number of years of making custom clothing for Kevin, I got to know the man. What I discovered was a unique individual, who genuinely cared more about others and found a way to give back to those who were less fortunate.
Currently traveling to Florida for business. Today was the perfect example of, “If you can’t risk it- you
can’t prosper”.
You never know what pathway life’s journey will take you on. You have to be willing to extend yourself
to people and not take everyday circumstances for granted.
If you want to become inspired, find your cave. Every man needs his cave to regroup, meditate and slow himself down.
Kevin’s passion to reach inside and reward those families in need is the Kevin I’ve come to know today more importantly I have learned to appreciate over the years.
Admiring Kevin and his co-host country music star Jay DeMarcus of Rascal Flats, now CEO of Red Street Records, preform each year together and put their signature on this event has truly been a blast.
Jay’s showmanship and grace made these two unique individuals a magical pair.
So years ago when Kevin asked for my support and for us to participate in the Kevin Carter waiting for wishes celebrity waiters dinner and live auction event, there was no hesitation.
The involvement we’ve shared in participating in the live auction portion of this event each and every year has truly been a blessing and I believe a success in providing (One Custom Hand-Tailored Suit) to the highest bidder!
Our memories in life are all that we really have and this event will forever be one of my fondest.
